Due to the continued interest in the 2nd Study Direction of the NTUA MSc Program "ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT," focusing on "ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS”, the application submission period is extended until 07/07/2024.The Call for Applications and all relevant documents for completing the application dossier are posted on the websites of the MSc Program: http://environ.survey.ntua.gr/ and http://mountains.ntua.gr/

The Schools of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering, Mining and Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Architecture of the NTUA, coordinated and administratively supported by the School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering, operate the 2nd Specialization of the Inter-Departmental Postgraduate Programme “Environment and Development” of NTUA in “Environment and Development of Mountain Regions”, in accordance with the provisions of Law 4957/2022 and the Operating Regulation (Government Gazette 1184/B/19-02-2024), and invite interested candidates to submit an application for the academic year 2024-2025.

11 December, International mountain day, ‘Mountains matter for Youth’.
The Metsovio Interdisciplinary Research Center (MIRC) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) is the first educational institute in Greece specialized in mountain regions. For 12 years, we study the mountain areas in Greece through an interdisciplinary approach and we prepare young scientists with knowledge and experiences to understand and provide solutions for the many issues that the people of these areas are confronted with.
